Flash flood watch in North Georgia

The National Weather Service is warning of possible flash floods in North Georgia from the strong storm system that brought high wind and rain to the region on Sunday.

Flood warnings for Southeast Tennessee were canceled by Sunday night, but the weather service said about an inch of rain had fallen in North Georgia. Communities could remain in the danger zone through this evening because of high water in creeks and streams.

Motorists are advised not to drive into water covering roads.
