Project: Townhouses at Stonewall Farms
Owner: Jay Bell
Location: Musket Lane off Hixson Pike
Contractor: Bell Development Co.
Price per unit: $225,000-$236,000
Home sizes: 2,000-2,150 square feet
Features: These single-level townhouses include a screened-in porch, private yard, granite countertops, tile floors, a great room and 9-foot ceilings.
Timeline: The five units currently under construction on Musket Lane will be finished by mid-April. Three of the new townhouses have already been sold, and two are still on the market.
Future: These units complete phase three of the development plan at Stonewall Farms. Bell will build another 30 single-family homes and 30 townhouses during phase four of the project. He plans to continue expanding the neighborhood because he's found it to be a great location. "It's close to Northgate Mall and Highway 153," he said. "It's attractive. You have all the convenience of East Brainerd -- but not all the traffic."
History: Construction at Stonewall Farms started in 2005. Since then, Bell has built 480 homes on 150 acres. The townhouses are part of 60 new homes Bell is building in the Chattanooga area.
