Cleveland and McMinn County girls’ basketball teams tied at the half

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Cleveland and McMinn County girls’ basketball teams are tied at 17 at the half of the District 5-AAA tournament semifinals Saturday at Cleveland.

A game filled with missed shots and turnovers, the Lady Raiders led 13-6 on a 3-pointer by Nora Berry with 5:53 left in the half. McMinn hit a few shots to rally and tie the game at the half.

The winner of this game will face Bradley Central, a 53-36 victor over Walker Valley, in Monday’s championship game at 7:30.

McMinn’s Alisa Guardiola leads all scorers with six points. Berry leads Cleveland with five points.
