A girl died in Meigs County, Tenn., after getting hit by a car Thursday evening, a sheriff’s office dispatcher said.
The girl and her brother ran across state Highway 304 around 6:30 p.m. when the vehicle hit her.
The boy was safe.
The dispatcher did not know what type of vehicle was involved or whether the driver would be charged.
