MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A judge in Memphis has ordered the arrest of two witnesses who are reluctant to testify in a gang-related killing.

The Commercial Appeal reported prosecutor Ray Lepone told the court Wednesday he needs more time to locate his witnesses, one of whom led police to the suspect.

The situation came to light at a probable cause hearing in Shelby County Juvenile Court. The teen charged in the shooting was a juvenile when it occurred.

Devail Lewis was fatally shot Sept. 19 near a community center outdoor basketball court.

Lepone said one of the witnesses recently quit using his cellphone and the other one said he didn't want to testify.

The judge rescheduled the case for March 6 and ordered the witnesses arrested and jailed until the hearing.
