ETOWAH, Tenn. - A 10-year-old boy has become the third person to die from injuries suffered in a crash this week.

WRCB-TV cited Higgins Funeral Home in reporting the death on Friday of Dawson Bloom.

The boy's mother, 27-year-old Linda Bloom, and sister, 6-year-old Cayla, were killed on Wednesday when their car collided with a construction truck in Etowah.

Tennessee Highway Patrol said Bloom turned in front of the truck, which then hit the driver's side of the car and sent it down an embankment.

The boy's father, David, and brother, 8-year-old Kadin, were injured in the crash and are being treated at a Knoxville hospital.
