Gordon Lee advances in playoffs; Calhoun loses

Led by 30 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and five steals from senior Kassidy Blevins, the Gordon Lee High School girls’ basketball team edged visiting Seminole County 73-68 in the second round of the Georgia Class A public school playoffs this evening in Chickamauga.

In a Class AA state playoff in Calhoun, however, Calhoun High’s Lady Yellow Jackets ended the best season in program history at 26-2 with a 66-49 loss to top-ranked Wesleyan, which has won nine state titles in the last 11 years.
