NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It was after 2 a.m. when 26-year-old David Aller was thrown out of Nashville's Klub Cirok Nightclub & VIP Lounge for fighting. That's when police say Aller retrieved a loaded handgun from his car in the nightclub's parking lot and returned to threaten patrons.

Aller, who was charged with aggravated assault for the Nov. 11 incident, was also a handgun carry permit holder.

Under a bill headed for a final approval in the state House on Thursday, businesses could no longer bar people with handgun carry permits from storing firearms in vehicles parked on their property.

Management at the Klub Cirok says it's a bad idea to extend the proposal to bars and nightclubs where people may have been drinking.

Democrats plan to propose several amendments on Thursday.
