The other competing utilities from Region 10 that submitted samples of their drinking water were Union Fork-Bakewell Utility District, Etowah Utilities, the City of Dayton and Ocoee Utility District, according to a news release.
Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Office, the USDA Rural Development and the Southeast Tennessee Development District served as judges for the contest.
The winner of each region will enter a statewide competition and the statewide winner will then compete in Washington, D.C. for the Best Tasting Water in America, the news release stated.
