A Bradley County man was shot in the stomach Monday night by his girlfriend's brother, Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Gault said in a release.

Gilbert Blair, 48, was arguing with his girlfriend at his home at 181 Burris Lane when her brother, Jerry Kincaid, 43, pulled a handgun and shot Blair, Gault said. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m.

Blair was taken to Erlanger Hospital and is in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, Gault said.

Detectives are looking for Kincaid, who left the scene before deputies arrived, to question him about the incident.
