5 busted, drug gear found in Section, Ala., apartment

Jackson County, Ala., authorities charged five people with possessing drug paraphernalia at an apartment in Section, Ala., on Wednesday.

Officer swith the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, county deputies and Section police went to Cumberland Apartments on a noise complaint, according to a news release.

They smelled marijuana and obtained a search warrant. The officers found drug paraphernalia in the apartment, the release stated.

They also found a small child and called the Department of Human Resources, the release stated.

Arrested were Phillip Clinton Ryan, 20, of Section; Alysia Ann Townsel, 24, of Fyffe; Christopher Dale Wilbourne, 21, of Dutton; Drue McCrary, 22, of Dutton; and Shanai Mariah Riddle, 20, whose address was not given.

All were booked and released on $500 bonds.
