CHARLESTON, S.C. — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defeated The Citadel 70-65 after trailing by 10 points in the second half in McAlister Fieldhouse.
Junior forward Zaccheus Mason led UTC (7-9, 2-1 SoCon) with 15 points including six points in the last 67 seconds. Senior point guard Dontay Hampton scored 11 points and had five rebounds in his first game of the season. Matt Van Scyoc led the Bulldogs with 20 points.
