A crash that killed a Florence, Ky., couple is still under investigation, Dalton, Ga., police said Wednesday afternoon.
Charles Beckett, 81, drove his Chevrolet Cruze out of the Guest Inn parking lot on Chattanooga Road about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday.
His car collided with a northbound Dodge Ram pickup that was towing a boat, Dalton Police Department spokesman Steve Zahn said in a news release.
Beckett and his 73-year-old wife, Donna, died after the crash.
Joseph Purcell, 68, of Dalton, drove the pickup, and he was medically cleared at the scene, officials said.
