Greater Chattanooga area high school stars for Jan. 10 events

Madison Hampton, Meigs County: She had two 3-point baskets and 13 points, helping the Lady Tigers improve to 15-4 with a 46-37 basketball win over Kingston.

Casey Cook, McCallie: He had a 20-second pin in the 220-pound weight class in the Blue Tornado's 72-3 wrestling victory over Red Bank.

Erin Hill, Sale Creek: She had five 3s and 28 points in the Lady Panthers' 64-38 win over the Chattanooga Patriots.

Maddie Wright, Boyd-Buchanan: She finished with 28 points and 17 rebounds in the Lady Bucs' 53-40 win over South Pittsburg.

Grayson Layne, Hixson: He had a 22-7 technical-fall victory in the 120-pound weight class in the Wildcats' 53-20 wrestling win over Notre Dame.

C.J. Baker, East Ridge: He had the quickest of four Pioneers pins, recording a 17-second fall in the 220-pound weight class in a 51-14 win over Central.

Fitzgerald Morris, Lookout Valley: He had a 12-point, 10-rebound performance in the Yellow Jackets' 46-32 basketball win over Tennessee Christian Prep School.

Cale Shelton, Signal Mountain: He had a pair of pins in the 170-pound weight class as the Eagles wrestling team went 3-0 with wins over Boyd-Buchanan, Brainerd and Silverdale.

Carter Thomas, Notre Dame: His 53-second pin at 113 pounds helped key the Irish's 42-22 wrestling win over Chattanooga Christian.

Tristen Spradlin, Meigs County: He had three 3s and 13 points, but the Tigers dropped a 67-53 basketball decision to Kingston.

Hall Allen, Boyd-Buchanan: He had 11 points and six assists for the Bucs, who defeated South Pittsburg 53-40.

Eric Hale, Bledsoe County: His four 3s accounted for all 12 of his points, and the Warriors defeated Chattanooga Christian 51-28.

LaDarius Watkins, East Hamilton: He had a double-double, with 10 points and 12 rebounds, as the Hurricanes defeated Red Bank 80-44.

Hayley McBee, Lookout Valley: Her 19 points led the Lady Jackets to a 35-21 win over Tennessee Christian Prep School.

Halei LeQuire, Bledsoe County: She scored 17 points as the Lady Warriors improved to 4-1 in District 7-AA with a 53-38 victory over Chattanooga Christian.

Oleg Stukanov, Cleveland: His pin in 1:02 was the fastest of five first-period pins and helped the wrestling Blue Raiders rout rival Bradley Central 60-9.
