The Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested a Chattanooga man who investigators say rigged his car's odometer to sell his car for more money.
Robert B. Malone, 28, was charged with odometer fraud on Wednesday after investigators met him and pretended to be interested in buying his 1999 Honda Accord.
Investigators started looking into the case after someone told them that Malone posted an ad on Craigslist claiming the car had been driven only 54,000 miles. In reality, the car has been driven more than 200,000 miles, police said.
