about Clay Bennett...
The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

He certainly earned his title of "Worst Mayor Ever".
Amen to that!!
Hey judge....maybe that was your son that did that!!
Forget Littlefield, the freak is done. Make sure Chattanooga doesn't have a repeat and vote against anyone Littlefield supports in ANY election!
Tire slashin is a little lite for the way Ron thinks, if the car was on fire ? Much more apt!!!
He's been on the scene here since back in the 70's and has ALWAYS been a mental case!
Now "Lance" Littlefield will want to steal the damaged car, have Missy Crutchfield place dots on it, and then sell it to the city as a Public Art piece for $100,000.00.
Littlefield can place the sculpture at his "Homeless Shelter" at the Farmer's Market.
The fact that Littlefield made it to Mayor should tell everyone something about the judgement of the Hamilton County Republican Party leadership. The party power brokers have selected the slate for new party officers and is getting ready to ram it through the caucus/convention process later this month (very hush, hush) Are these the same people that promoted Littlefield up through the party? Should we be excepting the new slate, whoever the h3ll they are, or should we be fighting for a new direction in this town?
Well we finally got a cartoon from Bennet that was worthy of the name. Maybe we should buy him a set of felt tip pens instead of the crayons.
should have written "accepting the new slate"
Only thing missing from the cartoon is Paul Page trying to grope the judge.
zzzzzz
Well my day is made now that i know Rebus is bored w/this cartoon!!
Glad you felt the urge to let us know!!
anytime, jesse. I'm here to serve.
Um. BRP, Littlefield has never been a Republican. He was mentored by Ward Crutchfield.
Littlefield is whatever his owner wants him to be, democrat most of the time but republican or idependent if necessary. He is the most political among those in the city but some council members can compete with him for the honor.
Mayfield! Littlefield! Crutchfield! We live in a Field of Nightmares, not Dreams.
Local politicians can get away with almost anything. It is likely that over half the people 30 and under in the city don't know who the mayor of Chattanooga is. Over half can't tell you who their cuty council member is.
this toon was quite the dud.
