CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Cleveland and Soddy-Daisy will represent the Chattanooga area in the state wrestling duals, which are scheduled for next Friday and Saturday at the Williamson County Agricultural Expo in Franklin.
The Blue Raiders blew past Bradley Central 43-26 and Soddy-Daisy escaped a duel with Walker Valley 33-24.
There was no championship match, which was actually inconsequential since the two semifinal winners advance. Both winners are anticipating a repeat of last year’s state championship match, which Soddy-Daisy won 29-22. As the state’s top two last year and because they’re in the same region, the team’s will be in opposite halves of the Class AAA bracket.
For more of the region duals, see Friday’s editions of the Times Free Press.
