Two stabbed at Hamilton Place mall

A Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher says two people were stabbed at the Hamilton Place mall on Thursday night.

A pair of loss prevention officers working at J.C. Penney saw an apparent shoplifter trying to leave, the dispatcher said. When they confronted the alleged shoplifter, they were both stabbed, the dispatcher said. One of the loss prevention officers is in critical condition.

The dispatcher did not know whether the alleged shoplifter had been caught Thursday night.
