Double Cola bringing back ginger ale
The Double Cola Co. is reviving its original brand.
The Chattanooga-based soft drink company said Thursday it should have its Double-Cola Ginger Ale on grocery shelves again in Chattanooga and a dozen other U.S. markets within the month. Double Cola expects the revived drink, which Double Cola originally made in the 1930s, will draw more youthful consumers. The drink is made from real ginger and 100 percent natural flavors.
"We're very excited to reintroduce the iconic brand into the market," company sales director Mitch Reed said. "With the recent growth of ginger ale and the taste quality of Double-Cola, response has been positive all around from consumers and distributors."
