Sweetwater teen dies in accidental shooting

SWEETWATER, Tenn. — An East Tennessee teen has died after accidentally shooting himself.

WATE-TV cited Sweetwater police in reporting the death on Thursday of 15-year-old Matthew Daniels. Police say he accidentally shot himself with a family handgun.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reviewed the case and found no evidence of foul play.

The station said Daniels was a student at Sweetwater High School.
