Not long before Christmas, I broke my ankle in three places and tore away the ligament. Surgery followed, and I was told emphatically not to put any weight on the leg for three months. Leaving the house required going up and down stairs, so I was housebound, which was tough during the holidays.
One day, we received a call from Phil Cribbs. He and his assistant, Tony, had renovated our house two years ago. They’d heard from a mutual friend about my fall and offered their help. The following Saturday they built a ramp out our back door and into the garage, making it possible for me to go out and to do so under cover, a real blessing during this rainy season.
They took time during the busy holiday season to make our life so much easier, and they absolutely refused to let us pay them! What an incredible gift, and we are so grateful to them both!
