Chattanooga police have arrested a 19-year-old gang member on charges of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of a weapon and attempted first degree murder after he reportedly shot his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend.

Dedrick Lamont "Pain" Lindsey Jr. is accused of shooting 21-year-old Jeremiah Hicks outside a residence in the 1800 block of Citico Avenue Thursday.

Tiara Moore, who used to date Hicks, called him and told him to come out of his mother's house. Lindsey, who is now dating Moore, then reportedly opened fire on him.

Hicks was struck numerous times and had injuries to his torso and extremities. Several of the rounds also entered his mother's home, according to the police report.

He remains in stable condition, according to police.

Lindsey was arrested last year for bringing a gun to school. He received judicial diversion, according to court records.

His bond is set at $465,000.

His next court date is set for Tuesday before Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom.
