Bradley Central holds slim 27-24 lead over McMinn County at the half

ATHENS, Tenn. — Class AAA fourth-ranked Bradley Central holds a slim 27-24 lead over McMinn County at the half in Athens.

McMinn held a 16-14 lead after a quarter, but the Bearettes found success breaking the press in the second quarter and took the lead on a spinning layup by Rebecca Reuter with 47 seconds left in the half.

Kayla Withrow has seven points to lead the Bearettes, with Reuter and Brooke Copeland – who is battling foul trouble – scoring six. McMinn has been led by Keke Smith and Rachel Burke, who each have eight points.
