Baylor School seniors Matthew Johnson and Lauren Johnson have been named 2013 U.S. Presidential Scholar candidates.
The two earned perfect ACT scores and are among three Chattanooga-area candidates posted on the U.S. Presidential Scholars website. Application to the program is by invitation only and, a release said, is based on ACT and SAT scores
Up to 141 students will be named Presidential Scholars in May and will go to Washington, D.C., to accept the recognition.
Matthew Johnson is the son of Doug and Micheline Johnson of Lookout Mtn., Ga., while Lauren Johnson is the daughter of Darrell and T.J. Johnson of Signal Mountain.
