The East Ridge Animal Shelter is adopting a 'no kill' policy.

East Ridge Animal Services is adopting the "No Kill Equation" as operational policy at the shelter, according to a news release from the City of East Ridge.

The "No Kill Equation" includes a combination of lifesaving strategies at the shelter. Some elements include rescue partnerships, foster care for shelter animals, active volunteers, a comprehensive adoption program, medical prevention and treatment, and proactive pet redemptions.
