Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger appointed County Engineer Todd Leamon to be the county's new Administrator of Public Works Thursday morning.
Along with his new post, Leamon will continue to lead the engineering department.
“I have worked closely with Todd over the past two years and have been enormously impressed with his leadership skills," said Coppinger. "Todd has a results-oriented personality that is suited to the challenges of the county’s Public Works Division."
Along with overseeing the county's engineering department, Leamon will also oversee the Highway Department, Building Inspection Department, Support Services and Real Property.
Leamon will assume his new duties Friday. He suceeds long time Public Works Administrator, Dan Wade, who is retiring after almost 28 years of service.
Leamon's salary will be $115,880.
