Fagan Street shooting victims, suspects ID'd

Chattanooga police have identified those involved in a shooting Saturday night that left four wounded, according to a news release.

Officers arrested Latrell Walker, 28, and Tevin Douglas, 23. Both were charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, evading arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

The four victims were identified as Kristopher Moore, 24; Tadarrel Oakley, 20; Bennie Melton, 18; and a 16-year-old boy. Moore and the 16-year-old are listed in critical condition, while Oakley and Melton had injuries that were not life threatening.

Police said Saturday night that someone in a van fired into a crowd on Fagan Street. Walker and Douglas were captured on Germantown Road after a police pursuit.


Hiker hurt in fall at Sunset Rock on Lookout Mountain

Emergency responders rescued a man who fell about 50 feet while hiking at Sunset Rock on Sunday, according to a news release.

EMS personnel received the call about 1:30 p.m. The victim was about half a mile down the Lookout Mountain trail. According to rescue personnel, it took awhile to get the victim out of the trail.

The 30-year-old man had critical injuries and was flown by LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center about 3:30 p.m., the release stated.
