GOLDEN POND, Ky. - Administrators for Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area will host informational meetings to discuss the road system.
Approximately 65 miles of the 475 miles of existing Land Between The Lakes roads will be evaluated. Roads accessing a cemetery or maintained by the state of Kentucky or Tennessee will not be changed or recommended for change.
The meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. at:
__ July 16, at Lake Barkley State Resort Park Convention Center, 3500 State Park Road, Cadiz, Ky.;
__ July 26, at Stewart County Visitor Center, 117 Visitor Center Lane, Dover, Tenn.;
__ July 30, at Grand Rivers Senior/Community Center, 155 W. Cumberland Avenue, Grand Rivers, Ky.
The meeting are planned to establish what roads exist now, what is needed for access and what is affordable.
