No injuries were reported after a house fire at approximately 5:15 p.m. Thursday on the 9500 block of Heathwood Drive in Hamilton County.
First response units of the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department arrived to heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the house. Fire Chief Brad Pitts requested a mutual aid response from nearby Catoosa County, Ga., fire department and Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue Squad due to extreme heat and humidity.
Tri-Community Fire Marshall Amory Planchard reports the fire’s cause was accidental, but the cause undetermined. Damages are valued at $150,000.
