Tom Eddy of UBS Financial Services in Chattanooga has been added by the NFL Players Association to its Registered Financial Advisor Program.
Jeff Cronan, manager of the UBS Chattanooga office, said that Eddy has more than 11 years experience in the securities industry and began his career at UBS. Cronan said Eddy and his team have a unique practice within the firm and the access to the players is "a win-win for both UBS and the NFL players."
A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Eddy lives on Lookout Mountain with his wife Dayna.
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has promoted Dennis Culver to the position of vice president and chief audit executive.
In this position, Culver will be responsible for directing the operations of the internal audit division, which includes the internal audit, internal controls, claims audit, provider audit and quality assurance teams of the Chattanooga-based insurer.
"Dennis joined BlueCross in 2005 as senior manager of internal audit," said John Giblin, executive vice president and chief financial officer for BlueCross. "Since that time he has made substantial leadership contributions, and has built an outstanding team that provides assurance that BlueCross' operations are effective, and our assets and financial information are protected."
Under Culver's leadership, the BlueCross internal audit team has received three Best of Blue Awards for excellence from the BlueCross BlueShield Association, developed and successfully implemented auditor rotation programs.
Wil Harrington has been promoted to sales manager at Jaguar Land Rover Porsche of Chattanooga.
He was previously a sales consultant for the dealership. Jaguar Land Rover Porsche of Chattanooga, a member of Furrow Automotive, is located at 7648 Lee Highway.
Harrington first became acquainted with the dealership's brands when he purchased his first Range Rover in 2004.
"I have an excitement for the automobile industry and enjoy sharing that excitement with others," he said.
Richland Distilling Co. is partnering with Premium Brands -- the wine and spirits division of Carter Distributing Co. in Chattanooga -- to introduce and distribute Richland Rum in Southeast Tennessee.
Richland Rum will be available in select retail stores, bars and restaurants in Carter Distributing's service area in the course of July. It is made in Richland, Ga.
