A driver was killed when she crashed her Harley-Davidson three-wheeler on Dallas Lake Road, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

A Hixson woman was killed when she crashed her Harley-Davidson three-wheeler Saturday afternoon on Dallas Lake Road, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Kathy Mason, 63, was was traveling south on Dallas Hollow and turned right onto Dallas Lake Road. The trike went off the left side of the road, through a ditch and hit a culvert, ejecting the driver. The vehicle went airborne before coming to rest back on its tires, the sheriff's news release stated.

Mason died at an area hospital, according to the release.

The sheriff's office traffic division is investigating.
