Chattanooga police arrest 20-year-old after stabbing

Chattanooga police arrested a 20-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed another man.

Officers found 24-year-old Marcus Davis with a stab wound to the lower right side of his stomach, and he claimed he had been stabbed by Kandrick Clark after an argument.

The fight escalated about 7 p.m. Tuesday in front of 1807 Walker St., according to an arrest report.

Clark was gone upon officers' arrival but was located about a block away.

Police arrested Clark after Davis identified him. No weapon was found, according to the report.

Davis was taken to Erlanger hospital for treatment.

Clark, who remains in jail on $85,000 bond, faces one count of aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear before Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Christine Mahn Sell on Aug. 2.
