Chattanooga Lookouts manage only one hit in loss at Birmingham Barons

Stephen McCray allowed just one hit in seven innings to pace Birmingham to a 1-0 win Friday for a second consecutive shutout of the Chattanooga Lookouts, which lost for the seventh time in eight games and is now 11-15 in the Southern League's second half.

The Barons scored their only run in the first inning when Marcus Semien led off with a double to left and scored on Trayce Thompson's one-out single to left.

The Lookouts got their only hit in the second inning on a double to left by Sean Burroughs.

Game three of a five-game series in Birmingham is tonight at 7:05 EDT.

Chris Reed (3-7, 3.39) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Michael Nix (3-2, 3.23) scheduled for the Barons.
