Union County authorities are investigating the discovery of two bodies in a home in the Sharp's Chapel community today.
A deputy discovered the bodies during a welfare check at a house off Lakeview Drive around 3 a.m., Union County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Mike Butcher said. The bodies lay in a hot tub in a state of decay.
"They'd been there for a little while," Butcher said. "We're not ruling anything out yet, but we can't determine any obvious signs of foul play."
