East TN mom found guilty in attempt to set baby on fire

A Sevier County mother was found guilty today in connection with an attempt to set her infant son on fire three years ago, officials said.

Becky Eury, 33, will be sentenced 9 a.m. Sept. 5 by Sevier County Circuit Court Judge Henry Rex Ogle.

Eury was found guilty of attempted aggravated child abuse, neglect or endangerment, felony reckless endangerment and setting fire to personal property. Assistant District Attorney General Tim Norris said Eury could be sentenced to eight to 12 years, either on probation or in prison.
