Drivers bypassing Gatlinburg into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will need to watch for overnight construction early next week.

Park officials said the Gatlinburg Bypass will be closed from 8:30 p.m. Monday until 1 a.m. Tuesday for maintenance work to be performed.

In addition, traffic on Newfound Gap Road between the Gatlinburg park entrance and Sugarlands Information Center will be reduced to one lane from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday.
