Chattanooga Lookouts outfielder Yasiel Puig left AT&T Field in street clothes late this afternoon, furthering speculation that he is being promoted to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Puig was seen receiving congratulations from teammates in the clubhouse before today's game against visiting Mississippi. Lookouts manager Jody Reed declined comment before his team took the field, and the Dodgers have yet to announce a transaction regarding Puig.

Two of the starting outfielders for the Dodgers are battling hamstring injuries. Matt Kemp is on the disabled list, and Carl Crawford was injured Saturday afternoon at Colorado and did not play in today's series finale.

The Dodgers open a series at home Monday night against San Diego.

Puig entered today leading the Southern League with a .313 batting average. The 22-year-old Cuban defector has tallied eight home runs and 37 RBIs in 40 games with the Lookouts.

UPDATE: The Dodgers announced tonight at 7 that Puig will indeed join the big-league team tomorrow.
