NASHVILLE -Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett is posting information on changes affecting Uniform Commercial Code business filings in Tennessee that take effect July 1.

The changes include UCC statutes and a new UCC filing system. The transformation will require the use of new procedures and forms. Customers will see new online options such as UCC filings and search.

The UCC Services Online web page includes a posting of the new statute and new rules. The web page also offers training videos for customers who plan on using the new online filing system. The secretary of state's office will post more information at the site as the July 1 effective date draws closer.

The new system "is just one example of the ways we can provide valuable assistance to our customers," Hargett said in a news release. "I am confident our efforts will provide essential support to our customers as they navigate the new laws."

More information is available on the secretary of state's web site at tnbear.tn.gov/UCC.
