University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball coach Will Wade announced the hiring of Brooks Savage to the coaching staff as the director of basketball operations.

Savage served as an assistant coach at Presbyterian College last season and his responsibilities at UTC will include scheduling, travel and administrative aspects of the program.

"Brooks is a great fit for us," Wade said in a UTC release. He is a high-energy guy with varied experiences on the bench. We are excited to have him on our staff."

Savage coached at Northwest Florida State junior college. He also worked with the Tulane program in 2010-11 and at Tennessee in 2008-10. He earned his bachelor's and masters degrees in sports management at the University of Tennessee.
