Today is the deadline to register for the sixth annual Criminal Justice Seminar, sponsored by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Branch of the NAACP.
The free seminar will be held Saturday at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, 1400 Market St., from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
NAACP President James Mapp said Vincent Southerland, senior counsel for the National Legal Defense and Education Fund, will be the featured luncheon speaker.
The Rev. Paul A. McDaniel will be presented the chapter's Thurgood Marshall Freedom and Justice Award, which is given for outstanding contributions to the community and civil rights.
