Softball

• Corner infielder Hannah Morrison from Marion County High School was one of four softball recruits announced Friday by Carson-Newman coach Vickee Kazee-Hollifield. "She can crush the ball," Kazee-Hollifield said about Morrision, who had 17 home runs, 75 walks, 124 runs batted in and 123 runs scored in her Lady Warriors career. "Our assistant Nancy Branim was pitching to her in a tryout, and I think Hannah about knocked her arm off, she hit a ball that hard at her." Morrison plans to major in biology.
