The Atlanta Rhythm Section, part of the Southern rock scene for more than 30 years, will headline Liberty Fest 2013 on Saturday, June 29, at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge. The band has produced such hits as "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight," "So Into You," "Champagne Jam," "Imaginary Lover," "Spooky" and "Large Time."
Local Southern rock group Stallion will open at 5 p.m., followed by two hometown favorites: Chris McDaniel at 6 p.m. and Roger Alan Wade at 7 p.m. ARS will perform at 8:30 p.m. A fireworks show will conclude the festivities at 10 p.m.
Vendors will provide food and drinks for the family-oriented event, billed as a "Celebration of Freedom." Children's activities include inflatables and a petting zoo. Gates open at 4 p.m. Admission is $20 per vehicle (up to five people).
