Visitors to Chattanooga Market on Sunday, June 30, get a chance to sample the specialties of more than 20 street-food vendors in the inaugural Chattanooga Street Food Festival.

"It's everything from hot dogs to empanadas," says Melissa Siragusa, marketing director.

Corralling the food trucks in one location will show the diversity of cultures represented by these culinary entrepreneurs, she says.

Good Dog and Southern Burger will be among the vendors offering such traditional fare as hot dogs and hamburgers. Nana's Famous Frozen Custard will have ice cream, as will a new vendor from Atlanta that specializes in ice cream made from Greek yogurt. The Muenster Truck will serve up several varieties of grilled cheese sandwiches. Famous Nater's and Yellow Deli will offer their menu mainstays.

Add Mexican food, Italian ice and Southern barbecue to the list, and there will still be options, Siragusa says. One that has her particularly intrigued is Bubble Tea, which has "little drops of tapioca in the tea."

Among those providing entertainment on two stages Sunday will be local singer Roger Alan Wade with Sparkle Motion, a group that features Wade's grandson Roland Dixon and bandmates Jacob Covell, Noah Scott Boling, Austin Robinson and Emily Dixon. They'll take the stage at 1 p.m.

Also performing will be two Nashville-based artists: singer/songwriter/guitarist Brian Ashley Jones at 12:30 p.m. and progressive bluegrass band Charles Butler & Associates at 2 p.m.
