Arthur Boorman, whose extraordinary weight loss through yoga has made him a YouTube sensation, will offer his story of transformation at The Rush at Walnut Square Mall in Dalton, Ga., on Saturday.
His visit is scheduled at 2 p.m. Membership is not required to attend.
Boorman, according to media reports, is a former military paratrooper who served in the Gulf War. Years spent jumping out of planes left him with chronic knee and back pain. His issues were so severe that doctors told him he would never walk unassisted again.
Their warnings proved true for more than a decade, until Boorman bought videos by champion wrestler turned yogi Diamond Dallas Page. Following the DDP regimen of high-intensity yoga, Boorman lost 140 pounds in 10 months, and now he is able to run.
His story has been featured by media outlets including "Today," "Good Morning America," "Dateline" and The Huffington Post.
Walnut Square Mall is at 816 Walnut Square Blvd. at the intersection of East Walnut Avenue and Airport Road. For information, call 706-226-3777.
