ASU hammers Mocs 86-60

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga lost 86-60 at Appalachian State in their Southern Conference regular season finale.

ASU earned the fourth first-round bye in the Southern Conference tournament. The Mocs will play in the first round, but their seed will be determined by games played later today.

UTC fell behind by 20 points with more than eight minutes left in the first half. They trailed 55-30 at halftime and never got within 20 points during the second half.

Jay Canty led all players with 27 points and Nathan Healy added 20 points for the Mountaineers.

Casey Jones led UTC with 16 points and Ronrico White added 10 points. Zaccheus Mason scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
