Chattanooga traffic light changesChattanooga's traffic engineering office has announced that intersections along Highway 153 in Hixson are having signal cabinet modifications to include using a flashing yellow arrow for left turns.
A news release said work will get under way on Wednesday, dependent on the weather.
As the work is done, the traffic signals will be turned off and police officers will be present for traffic control, the release said. Drivers should approach the intersections as a four-way stop, it was stated.
Intersections being affected are Grubb Road at 153, north Walmart entrance at 153, south Walmart entrance at 153, Winding Lane at 153, Target entrance at 153, Gadd Road at 153, Northpoint Boulevard at 153 and the Kmart entrance at 153.
