Tree giveaway at Hamilton Place

At least four varieties of trees that grow well in the area will be distributed free of charge starting at 4 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Hamilton Place, 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd.

The distribution site will be inside the mall at the Piccadilly entrance.

Seedlings of red mulberry, redbud, flowering dogwood and silky dogwood are confirmed for the giveaway; other varieties may be available.

Event organizer Downtown Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga expects that supplies will be depleted by 6 p.m.
