Several injured in Signal Mtn. Blvd. bus accident

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Sixteen people are being treated for injuries after a bus goes airborne on Signal Mountain Sunday night.

Channel 3 was first on the scene as passengers were being taken off the Kentucky Weslyan College bus near Mushroom Way. Officials say faulty breaks caused the vehicle carrying 40 people, including the driver, to veer off the side of Signal Mountain Road as an attempt to slow it down. The bus was propelled over a hill on the side of the road.
