DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff's Office makes weekend arrests

A number of arrests were made over the weekend by the DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris said deputies arrested Dale Cason, 58, of Albertville, at a residence on County Road 4, after they were at the residence to do a welfare check. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana second.

A news release said deputies arrested Jonathan Lee Allen, 22, of Gadsden after a traffic stop near Peeks Corner. He was charged with DUI and unlawful possession of marijuana second.

Germichael Thompson, 36, of Piedmont was arrested by deputies after a traffic stop near Dogtown. He was charged with DUI controlled substance, unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia x 2, and promoting prison contraband.

Ethan Edward Phillips, 20, of Henagar was arrested on charges of having an Illegal open house party Saturday night. A news release said several juveniles were detained at the scene and turned over to their parents.

The sheriff's office also said two Fort Payne men were arrested Thursday after a Fort Payne Patrol officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood hit by recent burglaries. A release said agents found a meth lab and chemicals the suspects apparently hid in a garage. Thomas Michael Guest, 25, and James Wendol Guest, 31, both of Fort Payne were charged with burglary third, unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance and felony drug paraphernalia.
