Chattanooga announces planned street closings

The Chattanooga traffic engineering office has announced the planned closing of some streets.

The northbound lane in the 700 block of Broad Street will be closed Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. That will allow for building maintenance, a release said.

It said 900 Georgia Ave. will close Saturday at 7 a.m. for building maintenance and will then reopen Sunday at 5 p.m.

The 3800 block of Tennessee Avenue will be closed to through traffic Monday at 8:30 a.m. and won’t reopen until March 22 at 3:30 p.m. This will allow for utility work. Additionally, business access will be provided and detours will be posted, the release said.
